Schwerkolt heaped praise on key figures who made the push possible: team principal Burgess, US-based engineer Jeromy Moore, and GM’s head of motorsport, Simon McNamara. “Two years ago I hatched a plan to bring Adrian back to lead the entire operation, and it’s proven,” he said. “I couldn’t do this without him—he’s an instrumental part of the journey. It’s incredibly exciting, and we’re just getting started.”
